Forget-Me-Not Ferret Shelter
Enola, PA
Shelter Director - Tracy Acker
Tracy has been a shelter director for several years. She shares her home with the shelter, her family, and dog Rebel. In addition to running her shelter, Tracy also works full time.
Tracy has an area of the house dedicated to the shelter which includes a common run area filled with toys and cool ferret stuff. Most of the ferrets live here and have a run group rotation. Older and sick ferrets that require more care are often moved to the main living area of the house as long as they tolerate her personal ferrets. This allows Tracy to spend more 1:1 time with those who need that extra attention.
Caring for so many older and sick ferrets takes its toll on all shelter directors. Tracy has such a heart for this and loves them all as if they were her own from the beginning.
